The Hell of High Water: Tackling Drainage in EBR

With the increasing rate of severe rain events causing ever more frequent flooding across the region, businesses and residents are looking for solutions. Join BRAC and HNTB to learn how the firm is working with East Baton Rouge to study rain events, history, and flooding to develop a new masterplan for a drier future. Bryan Jones and Melissa Kennedy with HNTB will provide an update on the work toward the East Baton Rouge Stormwater Master Plan, and how the parish’s 11 watersheds, flood risk models, and citizen-provided 311 data are being incorporated into a holistic, dynamic tool for more resilient planning.
